- We required Egyptian number plates. We needed 54 documents to obtain permission to bring the vehicle into Egypt.

- We are finally safely in Egypt after a gruelling drive across the Sahara.
- The Old Cataract Hotel, where Agatha Christie stayed while writing Death on the Nile.
- We also saw Abu Simbel from the barge when we arrived in Egypt. From there we turned north and headed towards Cairo.

- Under the Suez Canal, we head towards the Sinai Desert.
- Watching tankers and cargo ships sailing through the Suez Canal.
- Tourists and locals windsurfing in the Red Sea.
- A little girl collecting seashells.
- Heading towards Israel so we can ship our Land Cruiser back to South Africa.
- Exhaustion, but despite our miserable faces, we’d never been more content and happier in our lives and marriage.
